Three Major Display Technologies to Create three-dimensional Immersive "vision"

The world is three-dimensional, people are three-dimensional, we also need a three-dimensional vision.   In today's era of wisdom, the plane scene has been tired of us.   How can we make our planar visual horizon more multidimensional?   Realize the fantasy vision we have seen in fairy tales or science fiction films.   For the technology in the era of wisdom, it is already not difficult. There are holographic projection technology based on projection and holographic technology, VR equipment presented through wearable devices, and glasses-free 3D technology that only requires a simple display device to realize A 3D scene. What are the differences and developments among these three?

Wearable VR devices are not new to most people, but VR glasses are the most familiar to us. With the development of technology, most of today's VR glasses can be displayed on the Internet, and there is no need to insert relevant playback devices and load specific apps to realize 3D viewing resources.   Just search for relevant resources online and watch.   However, limited 3D resources, combined with visual fatigue caused by prolonged use of wearable devices, have led to an embarrassing situation in the VR industry.

Holographic projection, now holographic projection technology is mainly divided into three kinds, one is air projection and interactive technology: Massachusetts in the United States a man named ChadDyne 29 institute graduate student invented a air projection and interactive technology, this is a milestone in the history of the display technology, it can be formed in the airflow projection on the wall of the interactive image.   This technique, based on the principle of a mirage, projects images onto droplets of water formed by the liquefaction of water vapor, resulting in highly layered and three-dimensional images due to the uneven molecular vibrations.   The second is a LASER beam that projects a 3D image of a solid body: this technique uses nitrogen and oxygen to spread out in the air, turning the mixture into a searing slurry that forms a transient 3D image in the air.   This method is mainly achieved by continuous small explosions in the air.   The third is a 360-degree holographic display: a technique that projects an image onto a mirror that rotates at high speed to create a three-dimensional image.

Today's holographic projection technology is mainly applied to the stage, which can not only produce three-dimensional air illusion, but also make the illusion interact with the performer to complete the performance together and produce an impressive performance effect.

Glasses-free 3D.   Compared to holographic projection and wearable VR devices, glasses-free 3D technology is not widely understood.   In the industry, there are mixed feelings about the future of glasses-free 3D.   But for its display effect, it is recognized by most people.   Companies are also paying attention to the fact that 3D effects can be achieved without the help of anything other than a display device.

However, its disadvantages are also obvious.   First, the lack of 3D resources, similar to the embarrassing situation of VR, the lack of 3D film sources leads to the related hardware has become "without rice", ren er and other clever women, ultimately nothing.   Although some manufacturers have developed 2D to 3D technology, but its effect is not satisfactory.   However, the number of 3D producers is also increasing, which may be an opportunity for the industry to develop.   Second, cost.   For both companies and consumers, price is always a factor to consider.   The scarcity of technology and video sources will undoubtedly lead to the increase in the cost of related resources, which is difficult for the average consumer to consume.   In the future, its cost may fall, but its early "investment at a loss" is still a big test for manufacturers.   For cost control, the main way for manufacturers is to switch from 2D to 3D technology to meet the needs of general consumers.   Pure 3D technology to meet the needs of high-end consumers.   Third, environment.   Because 3D space is not a plane project according to the classification of the environment, but a space construction.   As a result, its application scenarios are mainly used in teaching, medical treatment, cinema, stage and other indoor space, as well as the potential but still difficult to see too much market demand for home scenes.   Due to the high cost, today's three-dimensional scene construction is mainly based on holographic projection.   This will be the most important factor holding back the development of glasses-free 3D.

In the author's opinion, the naked eye 3D scene is most likely to start with the educational scene. After the most important cost factor is solved, part of the holographic projection market may be divided, forming the two pillar technologies of indoor three-dimensional scene construction.   As for wearable VR equipment, it has achieved good results in the game industry, film industry, VR shopping and other fields through its unique way of linking with virtual world.   This is the core advantage that sets VR devices apart from the other two categories of 3d scene building technologies.   In the outdoor environment, the only practical application is the glasses-free 3D technology. However, it is uncertain whether the 3D effect is necessary in the outdoor environment with complicated personnel and traffic.

Some people say that the emergence of glasses-free 3D is not at the right time. In fact, it is not. After all, few companies can become the pioneers of the industry, and most are more willing to become the defenders of the industry after its glory.   As for holographic projection, glassy 3D and VR, glassy 3D is a "dark horse" that is most invisible to people. It is supported and developed by international high-end enterprises like Kangdexing. You may want to be careful!
